The HHS Christmas Project
Dear Parents,
As most of you know, the Hendersonville High School soccer program is committed to lending a helping hand to a family in need during the Christmas season. This will be the 10th year for our Christmas project and we would like to make it the best one so far!
What is the Christmas project? It’s a way for the HHS Soccer Family to help out a local soccer family who is in need of some assistance for the holiday. We try to help out as much as we can anonymously. This project is a wonderful tradition for the HHS Soccer Family and it couldn’t happen in such a big way without the generosity and kindness of all our families.
Here’s how it works. We ask that each family donate a gift card or cash which will be used to purchase gift cards. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, is a blessing. Last year, with combined donations, the HHS Soccer Family was able to present the chosen family with over $1,300.00 in gift cards. How amazing is that??
In the past, some of the most popular gift cards have been Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, gas cards, movie passes, or restaurant gift cards such as Demo’s, Sonic, McDonalds, Chili’s, Cracker Barrel, etc. If you just can’t decide, pre-paid Visa cards are a wonderful idea. A lot of these cards are available in the gift card section of Wal-Mart, Kroger, and Publix. If you purchase a gift card that does not actually state the amount on the card, please write the amount loaded on the card but please do not “HHS Soccer” or your name. This will allow us to keep the gifts totally anonymous.
If it’s easier for you to write a check, that’s great too! Just make it out to the “HHS Soccer Foundation”. Any cash donations received will be used to purchase gift cards as well.
Our deadline for the Christmas project is Friday, December 16th. This will give us enough time to put it all together and deliver the gifts to the chosen family. Please label the envelope containing your donation with “HHS Soccer Foundation” or “Coach Plummer” and have your child drop it by the school office.
If you have questions or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me or Coach Plummer.
We wish you and your families a warm and wonderful holiday season.

P.S. Take advantage of those great holiday sales and shop for items for the upcoming silent auction which will take place during the 31st annual HHS Commando Indoor Soccer Tournament on January 28 - 29. Each player will be asked to donate one new item for the auction. More information to come!
